BRAINTREE – The summer routine for Bob Beach is fairly consistent.
“I have the headlights on when I come to work in the morning and I have the headlights on when I leave at night,” said Beach, the head golf pro at Braiintree Municipal Golf Course.
Beach does that with interest. He has been the running the show at Braintree since 1991, but it goes beyond overseeing the operation at a very busy South Shore municipal golf course. It goes beyond running the pro shop, giving lessons and making sure things are going smoothly.
It is about giving back. As much as Beach is known for his work at Braintree as a teaching pro, he is known better for his work for the Jimmy Fund, with war veterans and with special needs youngsters and adults who want to play golf.
